Should we or should we not be using compost from a municipal site? If you’re getting it during warmer months I would leave anything you get in a pile for a couple of weeks to see if anything sprouts. At this time of year I think it’s still a risk because you just don’t know what’s in there and spreading it all over your yard could be a nightmare later. I think wood chips are fine but would rather get them from a tree service/arborist so I know what’s in there. (No thank you, poison ivy vines or
